Bianca Proposal 11.20.2015

What a wonderful proposal for Megan Romanowski by Stephen Bianca!

Stephen had several moving parts that came into place wonderfully. The venue chosen was at Sons of Hermann Hall. Hermann Hall was the place of Stephen and Megan's first date. The place was set and it was confirmed..

Then an owner at Hermann Hall forgot to mention to the staff he was coming, and Stephen and I found the fornt doors locked to an empty building! No Panic.. Stephen had a good idea to check around back or see if someone was back there, or the tattoo place next door had the cell phone number of the owner. Thankfully, Stephen happen to catch the manager who was near the back cleaning and was able to let us in.. We laughed about it later.

I started to set up quick as I could. Light was a bit of a challenge. 9 foot, black ceilings, and dark woods don't necessarily make for great bounce/ soft light. So off camera lighting makes for the best option as it was the only one. The results were very appealing. *Tip for Photographers: Know the space. If not, be prepared to capture in any light scenario :)

Stephen waited patiently for Megan to arrive. This is not easy when traffic is tight and you are about to ask one of the biggest questions of your life! Stephen was like a rock though. He had a music playlist of a few very special songs that he and Megan danced to right there on their first date. Megan arrived with her brother and it was a blind fold surprise. Stephen had the biggest smile when he could hear Megan walking up the stairs. When she got to the door way, her blind fold was removed and she followed the rose-peddled path to Stephen. She was crying with a joyful cry. You could hear the happiness in her voice. It was sweet. They danced and then Stephen got down on one knee.

We had a short amount of time, but I took Stephen and Megan down to the bar area to recreate the first date they had where they were the last ones left at the Hall.
The last surprise was an engagement party with family and friends.
